Using Evidence to Drive Impact
From high premiums to soaring out-of-pocket expenses, the U.S. health care system too often makes life harder for the people it’s meant to serve. Rising health care costs not only suppress economic growth—they also trigger economic insecurity and drive greater inequality.

Our Mission
Our mission is to lower health care costs for individuals and the health care system by producing rigorous, policy-relevant research and ensuring it shapes real-world decisions through strategic engagement with policymakers, key industry stakeholders, and the public.
We don't stop at publishing—we work directly with policymakers to answer urgent questions and turn evidence into action. We also share our data and tools to empower other researchers to deliver impact.
Guiding Principles
We ground all of our work in transparent methods, empirical integrity, and standards that stand up to peer review and public scrutiny.
From data sources to policy recommendations, we believe in being clear about how we reach conclusions.
We focus on questions that matter for real-world decision-making—without sacrificing scholarly depth or methodological precision.
We don’t just publish. We translate, visualize, brief, and convene—ensuring evidence moves from journals to the halls of power.
